Falling Pound Set To Effect Tradespeople

Posted 05/04/2017

Following the trigger of Article 50, tradespeople are facing up to the reality of increasing material costs.

Since the referendum back in June 2016, the pound has been tumbling against the Euro and concern has been raised over the impact this may have on tradespeople, with the possibility of throwing doubt on pricing jobs accurately. However, there are also worries that this will be passed on to the consumer in the form of increasing costs and less choice on the market.

This has also raised worry among insurers who are concerned that the increasing price of business materials may leave their clients underinsured, leaving them more liable to be left in the lurch should a claim arise.
